About Us

Crowies Paints was started in 1996 by Grant Crowhurst, grandson of W. P. Crowhurst, the founder of Solver Paints.

Today we have 6 stores throughout South Australia and we specialise in customer service and advice. We are proud distributors of the full Solver Paints range, Wattyl Protective and Marine products and Sikkens Timber finishes.

In addition we stock a price competitive range branded Crowies Paints which are made under our specifications by Solver.

We have been recognised officially for our excellent service many times and won Retailer of the Year in 2004.

Crowies Tip: Talk to us about which paint finish will best suit your job. Matte or flat finishes hide wall imperfections, but glossier finishes will reflect more light.

Crowies Tip: Try it on for size. When you think that you've chosen your perfect color, buy a sample paint tin to do a test patch. Let the paint dry thoroughly before testing against fabric, carpet or tiles.

can1 Crowies Undercoat Sealer

Crowies Undercoat Sealer is the perfect start to your painting project as it provides a smooth, sealed surface ready to top coat with any Crowies product or conventional water based or oil based paint. Crowies Undercoat Sealer is great for undercoating new plaster board, MDF board, fibrous cement and masonry as well as blocking out strong colours ready for repaint.

can2 Crowies Ceiling and Wall Finish

Crowies Ceiling and Wall Finish is a premium quality interior flat Ceiling and wall paint with great covering power, anti-splatter and ease of application. The completely flat finish of Crowies Ceiling paint is outstanding at hiding surface imperfections.

Crowies Low Sheen is a premium quality low sheen wall paint for all rooms of the house as well as some exterior applications. Crowies Low Sheen provides great washability, high covering power and dries to a smooth low sheen finish which looks fantastic.
